WARRANTY
Our warranty.
Clear terms.
POLAB provides warranty on VALDUR luminaires in plain English, without legalistic small print. These are the terms we stand behind — and what we cannot take responsibility for.

Luminaire housing (load-bearing structure)

Functional components (driver, LED module)
Project warranty
Project-specific terms for larger orders
LUMINAIRE HOUSING
Structural construction and housing
The housing is manufactured from glass fibre reinforced SMC composite — selected specifically for its resistance to saltwater corrosion, UV radiation, and mechanical loading. POLAB warrants the housing against construction-related material defects from the delivery date.
Material defects in the SMC housing
Construction-related deformation
Manufacturing defects in seals and gaskets
Note
Warranty is valid from the delivery date and requires installation in accordance with POLAB's installation instructions. Mechanical damage, incorrect installation, and demonstrable use outside the product specification are not covered.
FUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS
Driver and LED module
The driver and LED module are warranted against manufacturing defects from the delivery date, provided the luminaire has been installed and operated in accordance with the stated specification.
Driver failure under normal operation
LED module failure under normal operation
Manufacturing defects in cabling and connections
Note
The warranty does not cover damage from overvoltage, voltage outside the stated specification, water ingress due to incorrect installation, unauthorised intervention, or modifications.
LARGE PROJECTS
Negotiable service terms
For projects of 50 or more luminaires, POLAB can discuss project-specific service terms, extended warranty periods, and SLA commitments. These terms are documented in the supply agreement.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
What we cannot take responsibility for.
We aim to be clear rather than burying exclusions in language that no one can easily understand. Below are the most common situations where the warranty does not normally apply.
Mechanical damage
Damage caused by collision, vandalism, storm, or external impact.
Incorrect installation
Installation deviating from the installation instructions, including incorrect cable connection or inadequate fastener torquing.
Overvoltage and power supply
Damage from overvoltage, lightning strike effects, or supply voltage outside the stated specification.
Unauthorised modifications
Interventions, modifications, or additions not made by or in consultation with POLAB.
Normal lumen depreciation
Gradual reduction in luminous flux is a normal characteristic of LED modules and is not covered where it remains within published L90 parameters.

Resolution: replacement part, service, or credit
Approved warranty claims are handled with a replacement part, on-site service (near Fristad), or credit — depending on the nature of the claim and your preference.
